Appointments

Urgent Appointments

Appointments are available daily for those patients who wish to see a doctor on the same day who feel that they have an urgent medical problem.  In these cases patients are asked to contact the surgery on 0191 371 0232 before 9 am if possible

For urgent medical problems a doctor will always see you on the same day.  However, we are unable to guarantee the doctor of your choice.

Routine Appointments

  • Book an appointment online with Patient Access via the link at the top of this page
  • Phone us Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm
  • Visit the surgery and speak with a receptionist. We are open Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm

We aim to offer an appointment with a GP within 2-4 weeks. Nurses based in our practice treat patients for a wide range of common conditions. We aim to offer appointments with a Nurse within 2 weeks.

Telephone Advice

If you wish to speak to a doctor on the telephone, ask the receptionist who will take the relevant details and arrange a telephone appointment.  If it is not urgent the appointment may not be for the same day.

Please phone the surgery before 10am if you require a telephone appointment. A doctor will then call you back at the earliest convenient time following their morning surgery.

Appointments are usually for ten minutes unless it is for minor surgery or a medical examination, which takes longer.  Please inform the receptionist if this is the case.

Please read our patient protocol

Home Visits

Our doctors can typically see four patients in the surgery in the time it takes to do a single home visit.

For this reason, we ask our patients to come to the surgery if at all possible.

However, we can visit you at home if your condition means you cannot attend the surgery.

Please ring before 10am to arrange a visit and let us know if your condition is urgent.
