The Aims of the Patient Participation Group
- To offer opinions in a constructive manner and to put forward ideas on behalf of other patients.
- To improve the provision of health care.
- To improve communication between surgery, patients and the wider community about matters concerning the surgery and health in general.
- To provide assistance in development of new services.
- To encourage a spirit of self help and support amongst patients to improve their health and social care.

If you would like to be actively involved, to discuss the changes in the NHS, either by attending meetings or via email, then please contact Nicki Wild, the assistant manager on 0191 371 0232, who wil forward your contact details to the chair of the patient group.
Your contact details will only be used for this purpose and will be kept safely.
Presently, we meet up at present, bi-monthly in the surgery to discuss any practice issues, new and old. We ask for views on any changes the practice are considering.
