Diane Doney

Diane joined the practice in 2007 and sees patients with minor injuries, minor illnesses, administers various injections, coil checks. She has a specialist interest in Diabetes and Heart Disease.

Patricia Holmes

Community Nurse for the Frail and Elderly

Patricia joined the team at the beginning of September 2015. She will be seeing patients who are unable to attend the surgery to discuss their own individual care plans.

Jillian Walker

Jillian joined us in 2004 and is able to see patients with minor injuries, minor illnesses, administer various injections, coil checks and provide General Nursing Services. She has a specialist interest in Asthma, COPD and Diabetes.

Our highly qualified nurses deal with a range of conditions and health concerns. They examine patients, make a diagnosis and plan care, including prescribing certain products. They undertake a wide range of procedures including:

  • Cervical smear tests
  • ECGs
  • Ear syringing
  • Injections
  • Routine immunisations
  • Dressings
  • Travel vaccinations
  • Advice concerning minor ailments and injuries.

They are particularly concerned with preventing disease and promoting good health.

There are nurse-led clinics providing information and monitoring for those with:

  • Diabetes
  • Asthma
  • High Blood Pressure.

They are experts in many areas of disease management such as Diabetes and Asthma.

Healthcare Assistants

Beryl Cooling

Beryl is an important member of the Nursing Team who works under the supervision of a Qualified Nurse. She can take blood, check blood pressure, test urine and give flu and pneumococcal vaccinations. She also runs our Smoking Cessation and Cryotherapy (for the treatment of warts and verrucaes) Clinics.

Phlebotomists

Lynda McDermott

After many years working with the Blood Transfusion Service, has joined our team as Phlebotomist . You will see Lynda if you require any blood to be taken. She has now trained to do ear syringing and ECG’s
